It is a hot summer indeed in Sydney as the temperature continues to rise. But on the brighter side, there’s a low chance of rain so it is a good time to enjoy the outdoors. If you visit North Shore Sydney, which is located on the north of Sydney Harbour to Berowra, near Middle Harbour and Lane Cove National Park, there are a number of attractions to go to. Visit Sydney’s famous zoo, Taronga Zoo, and try their “Tiger Trek” to get up close with Sumatran tigers.
Try local coffees and beers by taking a ferry to Manly where you’ll see the different beaches like Queenscliff, Freshwater, Shelly, Collins Flat and look for the swimming spots, Fisher Bay and Sandy Beach. Bring your mat and snacks and take a walk at the twisting pathways of Wendy’s Secret Garden where they have a lot of picnic spots.
For more adventure, make sure to go to Luna Park. You’ll need to pay for the rides but the entrance is for free so feel free to just go and take a look. If it gets too hot, you can swim at the North Sydney Olympic Pool just next door to Luna Park.
It is also nice to visit around September and experience the Willoughby Spring Festival which lasts for a month. There are music/entertainment events, exhibitions, cultural celebrations and the much-awaited annual Willoughby StreetFair.
